Armenia, UAE mutually recognize driver's licenses

PanARMENIAN.Net - From June 13, Armenian citizens staying in the United Arab Emirates on a temporary basis, as well as UAE citizens staying temporarily in Armenia, may drive using their national driver's licenses.

Citizens who become permanent residents in either country and apply to exchange their driver's licenses are exempt from the theoretical and practical examinations normally required during the process. Driver's licenses issued by the two countries are mutually recognized without additional procedures or the need to reconfirm their validity.

The relevant memorandum was signed on September 30, 2025, by Armenian Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan and United Arab Emirates Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
