Armenian prosecutors examine Konjoryan case

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Prosecutor's Office has begun examining a statement by former Civil Contract member Tatul Asilyan, who alleged that Avet Konjoryan made threats against his mother, according to Pastinfo.

On July 29, Nairi Hakobyan, a Civil Contract member from Abovyan, was detained in connection with the assault case involving Avet Konjoryan. According to media reports, the incident stemmed from a financial dispute.

Amid those developments, former Civil Contract member Tatul Asilyan also alleged that Konjoryan had threatened his mother.

"Yes, Avet Konjoryan threatened my mother, demanding that she transfer the shop to him in exchange for money, even though he had no connection to that money," Asilyan said.

The Prosecutor's Office said an appropriate review is underway.

Earlier, it became known that the public organization Union of Informed Citizens had filed a report with the Prosecutor's Office alleging hooliganism after Avet Konjoryan, the brother of Civil Contract MP Hayk Konjoryan, was accused of publicly shouting obscene sexual insults from a car on a street.
