Le Premier Cercle to open Golden Apricot international film festival

PanARMENIAN.Net - "One Day in Europe" and "Arab Nights" will be organized in the framework of the VI International Film Festival Golden Apricot in Yerevan from July 12 to 19. Le Premier Cercle" ("the first circle"), film by French director Laurent Tuel will open "Golden Apricot" film festival. The producer of the film is the famous French Armenian film distributor Alain Terzian. This 95-minute thriller is about the Malakian clan which controls in the Southern France.



Six French films will be screened at the festival. Polish films of Peter Lenartowicz, Michael Rosa and Andrzej Waida will be presented. Works of Andreas Drezen, 13 German producers, authors of "Germany 09": 13 short films of various genres. A Yerevan premiere of the joint German-Azerbaijani "Absurdistan" will be held.



Polish, French, German and Dutch films will be screened in the framework of "One Day in Europe" program. Japanese films will be screened for the first time during the festival: a retrospective of Kohei Oguri films.



Works of 6 of the American producers will be presented to the Armenian audience this year.



Besides, in the framework of "Arab Nights" Lebanese films will be widely shown.



Rob Nilsson will also organize master classes in Yerevan.



The film festival "Golden Apricot" collaborates with embassies of France, US, Germany, Poland, Japan, Poland, as well as Unifrance, Goethe Institute, the Open Society Institute and Eurasia foundation.
