Armenian population census to be conducted on October 12-21, 2011

PanARMENIAN.Net - RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan discussed Armenian population census issues with international donors. According to governmental resolution, the next Armenian population census will be conducted on October 12-21, 2011. The experimental census will be held on April 12-23, 2010.



Preliminary expenditures for 2009-2013 census comprise AMD 2,5 billion, AMD1,9 billion to be spent in 2011.



Around 16 000 temporary employees will be involved in census implementation, RA Government Press Service reported.



After independence declaration, Armenia conducted its first population census on October 10-19, 2001. According to census results, RA population size comprised over 3,2 million people.
