Armenia cannot protect its own interests?

PanARMENIAN.Net - "A primary task in any talks is time factor, something Armenia is unable to take advantage of," "Heritage" faction representative Stepan Safaryan told today a news conference on "Armenian-Turkish relations: present and past". Turkey perfectly times everything in its own favor. A fair example of that was the statement on "road map" prior to April 24, when US President Barack Obama was expected to pronounce the word "genocide".

According to Safaryan, Armenia has been several times caught up in the Turkey's "trap". For instance, it gave consent to Turkey's idea on setting up an intergovernmental commission, in anticipation that Turkey will study historical heritage. Ankara, in turn, rejected the proposal, finding it unnecessary.

Another example Safaryan brought was Turkish President's visit to Armenia. "When Armenian President invited his Turkish colleague to Yerevan, Turkish side interpreted it as present to Armenian side" the speaker said, noting that Armenia was unable to support its own initiative.
