AZERI STATE TELEVISION TELEVISED HEYDAR ALIYEV APPEAL TO AZERI PEOPLE

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev who has been in Cleveland hospital since February 3, has addressed an appeal to Azeri people that was televised yesterday by the state television. Aliyev said in his appeal that after the operation that he had had February 14, he was having rehabilitation. «I think that in several days the rehabilitation will finish and I will return to the motherland», said Aliyev. Azerbaijani head noted that during the visit to the USA he had received information from Azerbaijan every day and had given corresponding instructions. According to Aliyev, he is in touch with the Milli Mejlis head, the premier, and the president administration head permanently. When finishing his appeal he said «concerns and fears» regarding the state of his health were in vain and he felt «better than before» and hoped to meet his people in the nearest future. But the local media took into consideration the fact that Aliyev was wearing in evening suit. That is not for a man who has recently undergone an operation.

Aliyev appeared in hospital wear in the last reports from the hospital. It should be reminded that the Azerbaijani leadership has become panic-stricken because of contradictory information received from the hospital. «Yeni Musavat» newspaper particularly has data that some high-rankers take their relatives out of the country. There is also data about many reservations for the flights to the Great Britain. «Hurriet» newspaper in his turn states that the operation in Cleveland hospital was a serious one and Alieyv made his will. Meanwhile the Azeri opposition Democratic Party leader Rasul Guliyev stated about forthcoming replacements in the Azerbaijani authorities in his interview for «Yeni Yuzil» newspaper.
