Unibank to open 3 new branches by late April

By late Apr 2010 Unibank will open three new branches, two branches in te capital of Armenia and one branch in Agarak, press office of the bank reported



According to Unibank's Operations Director Eliza Mheryan, the new branches will provide the whole range of services, including UNIPAY utility payments. By the end of this year Unibank will open nine new branches and will have a total of 43 branches in all the regions of the country. In March branches in Artashat and Kapan will move to new venues. By late June the bank will finish the new building for the Gyumri branch.



In 2009 Unibank's assets grew by 58 per cent to over AMD 108.6 billion. The capital of the bank reached AMD 11.6 billion, having grown by 22.8 per cent compared with beginning of the year. Bank's credits increased by almost 43 per cent to AMD 66.7 billion. In 2009 Unibank's liabilities grew by 63,6 per cent reaching AMD 97 billion. Deposits exceeded AMD 85.6 billion, having grown by about 80 per cent.



The volume of deposits from legal entities increased by 341 per cent to AMD 37.3 billion. The volume of time deposits from individuals amounted to AMD 45.4 billion.
