ANC youth wing rally ends in 5 protesters’ arrest

The rally, launched by youth wing of the Armenian National Congress in Yerevan ended in 5 protesters’ arrest. During a short rally at RA Central Election Committee, demonstrators demanded resignation of CEC authorities.



As ANC representative Vladimir Karapetyan told journalists, 5 demonstrators were detained upon completion of the rally. “Sargis Gevorgyan, Vahagn Gevorgyan, Tigran Arakelyan, Varag Nahapetyan and Sergey Gasparyan were taken to Central Department of RA Police. We have no information as to the date they will be released,” Karapetyan noted.



RA Ombudsman’s office employees are currently at police department to clarify the situation,

ANC representative noted.



As vice commander of RA police regiment told PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, ANC activists were arrested for using insulting language towards police officers.
