Tigran Jrbashyan characterizes Armenia’s 1.2% economic growth index as pessimistic

PanARMENIAN.Net -
In 2010, Armenia’s economic growth will exceed 1,2% stipulated in RA state budget, according to Ameriabank Development Director Tigran Jrbashyan .

As he told a news conference in Yerevan, 1,2% economic growth index in Armenia seems a pessimistic forecast in case of neutral influence of external factors.

Inflation will cause serious problems in the first half year of 2010, Ameriabank Development Director said, noting that its consequences will be somewhat mitigated in the second half year. Tigran Jrbashyan did not preclude a stable and gradual devaluation in 2010.

Recent forecasts show improvements in global economy after the crisis. Still there’s a threat of the second stage of downfall, linked to situation in China, Ameriabank Development Director concluded.

2010 state budget stipulates for 1,2% economic growth index and 4±1,5%.inflation.
