CRYPTOCard: internet services and network security in Armenia almost not ensuredMay 14, 2010 - 12:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Online-banking security, internet services and network security in Armenia are almost not ensured, according to Mike Edwards, Head of Business Development in Europe, for CRYPTOCard. “A market research carried out in Armenia by Apaga Technologies featured usage of SSL certificates as the only security tool, which ensures only partial security on the one side, and cannot provide identity authentication of users, on the other side,” he told journalists in Yerevan. CRYPTOCard will offer its security solutions in Armenia in the near future. “We are hopeful to get feedback from organizations engaged in provision of online services,” Mr. Edwards said. “One of the priorities for CRYPTOCard is to ensure password security, which they do by providing the users with tokens, that generate one-time passcodes, and those cannot be used a second time either by the user himself or by the hackers. There are similar solutions offered by other companies but CRYPTOCard’s solutions are technically more enhanced and they offer a wide range of combined service and management systems." CRYPTOCard is oiffering its security solutions to the biggest companies on enterprise level in almost all industries in over 70 countries around the world, being represented by Apaga Technologies in Armenia. “CRYPTOCard is pleased to work with such a company as Apaga Technologies, who has the knowledge and the expertise of the local Armeninan market and IT security sphere," Mr. Edwards said. ![]() ![]() Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”.
