28 hail suppression systems set in Armenia’s regionsMay 28, 2010 - 16:13 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan visited Armavir region of the country to participate in the opening ceremony of two hail suppression stations in Karakert community. Governor of the region Ashot Ghaghramanyan and head of Barva company producing hail suppression stations were also attending, the press service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration reported. Hail has caused significant damage to agriculture of Karakert over recent weeks, and the stations were installed by the Armenian President’s instruction. There are 28 stations in regions, while another 40 stations are scheduled to be set under a governmental program.
