RA Deputy Prime Minister met WB Armenia Country Manager Aristomene Varoudakis

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan received World Bank Armenia Country Manager Aristomene Varoudakis, who is completing his mission in Armenia.

RA Deputy PM thanked Mr. Varoudakis for useful and interesting cooperation and wished him every success. Besides, he expressed hope that the experience gained in Armenia will be useful for his further activity,

He also said that the Armenian government expects the WB to assist reforms for local self-government improvement, the press service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration reported.

For his part, Mr. Varoudakis noted that Armenia has a broad positive experience in WB programs implementation. “The work carried out jointly with the Armenian government has become useful for Armenia to respond to challenges of the global financial crisis and achieve good results,” he added.

Mr. Varoudakis also thanked for the assistance the Ministry of Territorial Administration rendered for implementation of various programs on water supply, agriculture, health care improvement, etc.
