David Harutyunyan believes previous committee on Karabakh a failure

PanARMENIAN.Net - The monitoring committee demonstrated adequate attitude in response to Armenian delegation’s suggestion to delay the visit of PACE co-rapporteurs because of October 19 CoE forum on democracy issues, the head of Armenian delegation to PACE David Harutyunyan stated.

As he told a news conference in Yerevan, the candidature of a new co-rapporteur for monitoring in Armenia will possibly be submitted upon formation of a new delegation of the Swiss parliament to PACE.

Dwelling on creation of the interim committee for Karabakh in PACE, Harutyunyan stated, “our position on the issue remains unchanged. One shouldn’t repeat the venture which has failed once. Azeri delegation, however, continues to insist on committee formation.”
