“The sugar mill in Akhuryan will resolve a number of problems, first of all securing 1000 job opportunities,” Serzh Sargsyan said during the visit to Shirak province. “It will also help reduce import volumes and develop export.”

Asked whether the Armenian sugar can be competitive in Georgian market, he noted that if the mill produces high-quality sugar, it will be popular not only in Georgia but also in other countries, the presidential press office reported
