  RPA preparing for 2012 parliamentary election November 24, 2010 - 15:50 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - High rating of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan will favor the Republican Party (RPA), the ruling party’s MP Vardan Ayvazyan stated. At a news conference in Yerevan, Ayvazyan commented on reporter’s remark that the rating of President Sargsyan is higher than that of the Party. “We view the Party and the President as a whole,” he said, noting that RPA is getting ready for 2012 parliamentary elections in Armenia. The Chairman of Armenia’s Political Experts Union Hamayak Hovhannesyan, in turn, characterized the political field of Armenia as a copy of the Russian one. Hovhannesyan expressed concern over the authorities’ hampering the development of economy in the country. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
