Aida to be staged in Yerevan in December

PanARMENIAN.Net - Director of the Armenian National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet Kamo Hovhannesyan said that opera lovers will have an opportunity to see Giuseppe Verdi’s Aida in late December.

“This the great opera and many theaters don’t dare stage it but we will venture as it was in case with Spartak,” he told journalists in Yerevan.

The opera will be staged by Italian director Mario Corradi. The government has allocated AMD 50 million for the purpose.
