CROSSING OF DIVIDING LINE BY MEADIATORS IS A "HISTORICAL EVENT", NKR FM SAYS

PanARMENIAN.Net - YEREVAN, May 21. /Mediamax/. The visit of the OSCE Minsk-group co-chairs to Nagorno Karabakh once again proves that Karabakh is an important side of the negotiations, NKR Foreign Minister Naira Melkumian says.

Mediamax's correspondent in NKR reports that Melkumian has described as "very important and useful" the visit of mediators to Nagorno Karabakh May 19-20. She emphasized two facts: for the first time the mediators used the term "dividing line" and crossed it from Azerbaijan to Nagorno Karabakh. She said the crossing of the dividing line was a historical event, "as the mediators undoubtedly seek possibilities for maintaining the peace once the conflict is settled." The Minister noted in this regard that one of the aims of the visit was to study the possibilities of providing an economic assistance to the region by the world community. --0--
