VAT to be charged for all cargos imported to Georgia from January 11January 19, 2011 - 18:49 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - As per the new tax legislation of Georgia, customs offices of the country will charge VAT (18%) for all cargos with Import mark. According to information placed on the official website of the RA State Revenue Committee, cargos with Export or Transit mark are tax exempt. If a part of cargo is for import, while a part of it is for export, the cargo is considered to be an imported one, thus, a tax will be charged for it.
