Armenian Finance Ministry predicts 5-5,5% inflation in 2011![]() January 24, 2011 - 15:32 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Reduction of Armenia’s state budget deficit will allow for 5-5,5% inflation in 2011 against 9,4% registered in 2010, according to Armenian Finance Minister Vache Gabrielyan. As he stated at January 24 news conference in Yerevan, Armenia went thorough a supply shock in 2010. To cope with the situation, the Finance Ministry and Central Bank aim to take steps to ensure the offer. In particular, the Ministry of Finance will decrease state budget deficit, which, by the year 2013 will comprise less than 3% against 7,5% in 2009 and ± 5 in 2010. ![]() ![]() Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision.
