ANC: radical reforms needed for social problems solution

PanARMENIAN.Net - Coordinator of opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) Levon Zurabyan said that Armenia’s social and economic situation has aggravated, what causes a wave of protest among citizens.

The current social and economic situation in Armenia resembles that of 1990s, Zurabyan told a press conference in Yerevan.

According to him, the country’s authorities cannot secure the needed budget revenues and radical reforms are needed to improve situation.

Referring to the decision of Yerevan Mayor’s Office to ban street trade, Zurabyan said that the authorities’ actions are illegal.

He noted that a working group has been established in ANC to deal with the problem. It will offer relevant solutions, concluded Zurabyan.
