Head of Mammography Center urges Armenian women to undergo annual examsMarch 8, 2011 - 14:53 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - About 220000 women were examined at Armenian-American Health Center (Mammography Center) in the course of 13 years, Armenian-American Health Center director stated. As Khachanush Hakobyan told a news conference in Yerevan, 30% of patients visit the Center for prophylactic purposes. “The majority of women tend to think they cannot possibly have a breast cancer. Yet, unfortunately, the disease doesn’t reckon with anything,” Mrs. Hakobyan noted. She urged Armenian women to undergo mammography at least once a year, noting that the women from socially vulnerable families can undergo the examination for free. As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed. David Vardanyan is the son of former Karabakh leader Ruben Vardanyan who who is currently imprisoned in Azerbaijan. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has met with Stephan Schütz, Executive Partner at Gerkan, Marg and Partners.
