Nevertheless, addressing the public hearing on the concert of food safety, he noted that Armenia’s sufficiency of strategic foodstuffs is 76%, while international standards envisage 75-80% sufficiency. Avetisyan informed a program on food safety will be developed in the republic before 2012. “The purpose of the program is to raise the country’s sufficiency of food and its economic affordability for the population,” he said.
