UN continues assisting Armenia’s economic and social development

PanARMENIAN.Net - On March 11, Yerevan hosted discussion of the United Nations Development Assistance Framework 2010-2015.

The strategic document was developed due to joint efforts of the Armenian government and UN Yerevan office. It fully complies with the needs of the country’s development and national priorities.

“The coordinated activity of the UN in Armenia facilitates social transformation and progress of human resources development,” UN Resident Coordinator/UNDP Resident Representative (UN RC/UNDP RR) in Armenia Dafina Gercheva said in her welcome address.

Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Arman Kirakossian noted for his part that the Armenian government does its utmost to stimulate economic and social development, while the close cooperation with the UN and its assistance will allow continuing the launched reforms.
