Defense Minister of Armenia Serzh Sarkisian will pay an official visit to Greece on March 27-30 on the invitation of his Greek counterpart Akis Tsokhadzopulos.As Mediamax was informed in the Information and propaganda department of the Defense Ministry of Armenia, during his visit S. Sarkisian will meet with top political and military leadership of Greece. Armenian Defense Minister will also meet with Armenian students, undergoing training in the Academy of Land Forces of Greece. The main objective of the visit, as the Information and propaganda department of the Armenian Defense Ministry informed, is to consider the course of realization of Armenian-Greek military cooperation and its perspectives. In particular, S. Sarkisian will discuss in Greece the possibilities of expansion of cooperation in the military-educational sphere, as well as in the formation in the Armenian Armed Forces a unit, meant for participation in peacekeeping operations.
