31,700 Iranian citizens visited Armenia in Q1 2011April 15, 2011 - 16:27 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Head of Tourism, Territorial and Economic Development Department at the RA Ministry of Economy Mekhak Apresyan said that around 31,700 Iranian citizens visited Armenia in January-March 2011 against 28,000 during the same period in 2010. 25,000 citizens of Iran arrived in Armenia in March 2011, including 18,000 tourists during Nowruz celebration, Apresyan told a press conference in Yerevan. According to him, the department conducted a survey among the Iranian tourists to find out whether they are happy with the level of services provided in Armenia. Apresyan said majority of respondents estimated the services as above the average. 72 out of 101 respondents expressed desire to visit Armenia once again.
