Jewish community of Armenia calls for worldwide Genocide recognitionApril 19, 2011 - 14:36 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Jewish community of Armenia calls for worldwide recognition of the Armenian Genocide. “Jews living in Armenia are calling on the international community to recognize the fact of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire,” head of Armenia’s Jewish community Rimma Varzhapetyan told a press conference in Yerevan. “Armenians across the globe should publicly speak about the Armenian Genocide and demand justice,” she said, citing the example of Jews who spare no effort to spread information about the Holocaust. Varzhapetyan also emphasized that unlike Azerbaijanis and Turks, who prefer to bribe politicians to promote their interests, Armenians behave honestly to reach a worldwide recognition of the first Genocide of the 20th century.
