TURKEY SHOULD NOT MAKE PREREQUISITES, "SELF-DETERMINATION" UNION HEAD THINKS

PanARMENIAN.Net - 24.01.2001, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. "Self-determination" Union speaks for the establishment of diplomatic ties of Armenia with all the countries of the world, including Turkey," the head of "Self-determination" Union Nerses Zeinalvandian stated today at a press conference in Yerevan.

At the same time, he said that one shouldn't consign to oblivion the historical facts. "Self-determination" thinks its inadmissible for Ankara to lay down preconditions, especially on the background of the present international campaign on recognizing the Genocide of Armenians of 1915. Such position of Turkish authorities is rather unsuccessful, the leader of the union said. -0-
