12 YEARS PASSED SINCE 1988 SPITAK EARTHQUAKE IN ARMENIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - 07.12.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. 12 years ago, on December 7, 1988, the disastrous Spitak earthquake took place in Armenia, which caused the death of about 30.000 people as to the official data.

The Prime Minister of Armenia Andranik Margarian spoke today with a special address. As Mediamax was informed in the press service of the government, Premier Margarian particularly noted that the restoration of the Spitak quake region is a national task. "The government will successively realize all the programs which are aimed to restore the earthquake zone", Armenian Premier declared. -0-
