Armenian people won’t gain by ANC-authorities dialogue, Heritage member says July 19, 2011 - 15:40 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The deputy chairman of Heritage parliamentary party Ruben Hakobyan dubbed the Armenian National Congress (ANC) –authorities dialogue a mere show. As Hakobyan told a news conference in Yerevan, the dialogue is in the interests of both sides. “ANC is trying to play for time till September, when it will readily resume its rhetoric,” he said. “The true aim of the dialogue is not in resolving current issues in the country. In reality, ANC agreed to it to destroy the other opposition forces. The authorities, in their turn, tried to benefit from ANC position, by retaining power through imitating a dialogue. The people have nothing to gain by it,” Hakobyan said. A member of the Republican Party of Armenia, Mkrtich Minasyan, however, noted that the authorities are ready to enter into dialogue with any political forces, interested in the future of the country.
