NAKHIJEVANI AUTHORITIES PROPOSE TO TURKEY TO SIMPLIFY THE BORDER GATE CONTROL

PanARMENIAN.Net - 03.11.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. During the visit of Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey Mesut Yilmaz to the Nakhijevan Autonomous Region, the authorities of Nakhijevan spoke with an interesting suggestion, reports the Turkish "Turkiye" paper.

In particular, during Yilmaz' meetings with the Speaker of Nakhijevani Parliament, Azerbaijan wanted that the border gate between Turkey and Nakhijevan to be passed without requiring a passport. Officials from Nakhijevan and Azerbaijan requested that Dilucu Border Gate should be passed only with an identity card. -0-
