ONLY POLITICAL DISTABILIZATION CAN MAKE AN OBSTACLE ON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF ARMENIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - 03.11.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Only destabilization of political situation in the state can make an obstacle for implementation of serious economic programs in 2001, the Armenian President Robert Kocharian said in his interview to the Armenian National TV.

The President announced that despite the political and macroeconomic stability is restored in Armenia today the country reaps the fruits of unstable situation formed in the beginning of the year.

According to Kocharian, those forces that today undertake certain attempts for destabilization of internal political situation realize that real preconditions are formed in the state for economic development. "Actually, they do their utmost to stop that process. I do not exclude that they are only tools in the hands of those forces that do not want to see Armenia as economically powerful and able to pursue independent policy," Kocharian said. -0--
