Defense Minister not to leave army murderers unpunished, RA Police Chief saysSeptember 1, 2011 - 13:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Police Chief, lieutenant general Alik Sargsyan met with the parents of soldiers murdered in the army. Speaking to the parents, who are holding a protest action in front of the government building, Sargsyan promised them to organize a meeting with Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent reported from the ground. “Minister Ohanyan is a man of intellect and patriotism and can openly answer your questions,” Sargsyan emphasized. “The Minister is the first to condemn murders in the army and will not let them go unpunished,” he added. Sargsyan, however, refused to comment on any of the army incidents, alleging their being beyond his competence. “An Army Without Murders” NGO is holding protests in front of the government building. Parents of the murdered soldiers have joined the demonstration. They demand punishment for the accomplices in the death of their sons and urge a meeting with Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan.
