Armenian investment road-show to be held in European and the Gulf countries![]() September 14, 2011 - 18:46 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Development Agency has planned to hold road-shows in three European countries, Italy, France and Holland. “The goal is to attract investments with projects and clear negotiations for companies of those countries,” Robert Harutyunyan, General Director of Armenian Development Agency told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. According to him unlimited negotiations are planned in all the spheres. “Currently we are collaborating with Financial Times and we have access to their base of investors. We have a list of investors to turn to and we already know what to offer to many of them,” Harutyunyan said. According to Robert Harutyunyan, ADA portfolio contains 20 investment projects, ready to be presented. Namely a Dutch company is already working in the energetic sphere for setting up renewable energy sources and in the sphere of agriculture for setting up greenhouses. “We will offer projects in the sphere of textile industry, construction, chocolate production, hotel complexes to Italians. To the French we can offer projects ranging from the sphere of basalt fiber to tourism,” said General Director. Here he added that in November-December similar road-shows are planned in the Gulf countries, UAE, Qatar Republic and Kuwait. “These are favorable markets for export. For instance Kuwait imports 95% of products. This is a good place for our products,” Harutyunyan noted. Despite the fact the there are strict requirements of certification in those countries, however, they are not stricter than those in Europe, according to Haruyunyan. ![]() ![]() Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision.
