AN ARMED GANG IS RENDERED HARMLESS IN YEREVAN

PanARMENIAN.Net - 06.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. An armed gang of 28 persons is rendered harmless by the Armenian special services on October 4, in Yerevan, Aravot daily informs.

According to the daily, the gang was planning to carry out an act of terrorism against the chairman of the board of Credit-Yerevan Bank.

Two members of Yerkrapah Volunteers' Union - Strepan Nikoghossian and Gevorg Ter-Gevorgian are among the arrested. The daily stresses that latter was used to be a bodyguard of the first president of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrossian. -0-
