FOREIGN MINISTER OF TURKEY: ARMENIA HAS FAILED TO BEHAVE LIKE A STATE, THE COUNTRY'S ECONOMY IS DISASTROUS

PanARMENIAN.Net - 19.09.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. "The US Presidency and Administration are doing everything they can to avoid adoption of the Resolution, called to recognize the so-called Genocide of Armenians, by the Congress. We will see whether or not they will be successful", said the Foreign Minister of Turkey Ismail Cem in the interview to Turkish newspaper "Milliyet".

The Turkish Foreign Minister declared that Armenians want to "camouflage" their weakness. "Armenia has failed to behave like a state. The country's economy is disastrous. The Armenian administration and the Armenians abroad are trying to use their hostility towards Turkey as a means to establish unity", Cem said. -0-
