Sargsyan: EU programs must not provoke new war

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia respects and understands the wish of the European Union member countries to ensure energy security and diversify energy sources, however, the issue demands cautiousness in the South Caucasus, Armenian President said during a joint news conference with his French counterpart.

Commenting on the fact that Azerbaijan uses the profit gained from EU regional energy programs to buy new arms, Serzh Sargsyan said: “The EU projects are important for regional cooperation and are meant to ensure even development of the countries but they should serve for peace, not war.”
