Armenian delegation to PACE continues moratorium

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian delegation will continue moratorium on participation in the work of PACE Subcommittee on Nagorno Karabakh, according to the head of Armenian delegation to PACE.

“Armenian delegation announced its position at the sitting of PACE bureau and Standing Committee. We spoke against the ability of the subcommittee to accomplish its mission, which lies in promoting trust between the two countries’ delegations,” Davit Harutyunyan told a news conference.

“Azerbaijani delegation, however, tried to insinuate that non-participation of Armenian delegation suggests disrespect for PACE decisions. Azeris went so far as attempting to draw parallels between Armenian delegation’s non-participation and their banning PACE representative from entering Azerbaijan to draw a report on political prisoners,” Harutyunyan said.
