On August 24 the delegation of the Defense Ministry of Armenia, headed by Minister Serzh Sarkisian will leave for Astrakhan to take part in the third active stage of "Military Cooperation-2000" trainings, held in the military academy Ashuluk within the framework of CIS Anti-Aircraft Defense (AAD) united system, was reported to MEDIAMAX in the press office of the Defense Ministry of Armenia.AAD military sub-units of Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Kirgizstan participate in the trainings, which have started on August 21. The Defense Ministers of participant-states will have consultations during the final stage. The results of the trainings, questions dealing with the development of the united system of CIS AAD, establishing of a center for struggle against terrorism in CIS member-states, cooperation within the framework of the Agreement of collective security of CIS will be discussed during these meetings.
