THE CREATION OF TRANSPORT AND ENERGY CORRIDORS THROUGH RUSSIA AND IRAN WILL CLOSELY CONNECT ARMENIA AND KAZAKHSTAN, STATED THE ARMENIAN DIPLOMAT

"The relations between Armenia and Kazakhstan remind a Platonic love", stated the Ambassador of Armenia to Kazakhstan, Edward Khurshudian in the interview to "Continent" magazine. According to him, in the Armenian-Kazakhstani relations there is mutual deep sympathy and good memories of cooperation in the period of the existence of the USSR; the high level of political mutual understanding and likeness in the assessment of global and regional processes are accompanied by inadmissibly low level of economic partnership.

"Yes, we are member countries of CIS, yes, we are allies according to the Agreement of Collective Security, but the potential of our cooperation demands significantly better realization", said the Armenian Ambassador.

Edward Khurshudian said that big hopes are connected with the creation of transport and energy corridors through Russia and Iran, which will let Armenia and Kazakhstan get closely connected.

The Armenian diplomat also said that in the near future the opening of Armenian trade centers in Astan and Almata are planned. -0-
