Euro will exist for as long as there’s political unity – Armenian expert

PanARMENIAN.Net - In the face of current economic downfall in eurozone, many are apprehensive that Euro will no longer be used as European Currency Unit for 17 countries worldwide.

“At present, eurozone is under no danger of a collapse. Europe has been up against serious problems and successfully overcame them. Euro will exist for as long as there’s political unity,” a candidate of political sciences, associate professor Narek Galstyan told a news conference in Yerevan.

A candidate of economic sciences, Grigor Hayrapetyan, in turn, added that in group integration, Europe sets much store by supranational interests, with global experience to prove it. “Having picked Euro as a common currency unit, eurozone won’t refuse the many advantages of its use. Exchange fluctuations alone allow the eurozone to save several billions on an annual basis,” the expert concluded.
