UN to boost professionalism of Armenian Economy Ministry specialists

PanARMENIAN.Net - On December 2, Yerevan hosted a ceremony of signing memorandum on cooperation between the RA Ministry of Economy and United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Armenia aimed at boosting professionalism of government institutions employees.

The document was signed between Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan and Resident Coordinator/UNDP Resident Representative in Armenia Dafina Gercheva.

“UN programs foster Armenia’s economic development. This document will promote trainings, including those in revenant institutions of partner counties,” Minister Davtyan said, adding that another document will be singed in near future.

“Reform implementation requires professional staff. After signing the memorandum we will immediately take up projects aimed at boosting professionalism among Minister specialists,” Gercheva said, in turn, adding that the experience will serve an example for further cooperation with other ministries.

According to Gercheva, the initial stage envisages assessment of the current level of professionalism of the ministry specialists.
