  Armenian parliament passes controversial environment bill December 5, 2011 - 13:24 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Despite opposition from Heritage party, the Armenian National Assembly passed a controversial bill to introduce amendments to the law on environmental impact expertise. The bill was adopted with 63 votes in favor, 7 against and 2 abstentions. By request of Heritage parliamentary group leader Stepan Safaryan, a 20-minite pause was made during the discussion for him to speak with Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisyan on the phone.
