ARMENIA MAKES LIST OF PARTNERS ON MILITARY-TECHNICAL COOPERATION LONGER

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia is enlarging the number of partner-states in the sphere of the military-technical cooperation, RA defense minister Serge Sargsian told Izvestiya Russian newspaper. "Taking into account the situation around Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan's position, Russia very carefully approaches the issues regarding the sale of some kinds of weapons. Proceeding from that, we are establishing military-technical cooperation with a number of countries of the former USSR, Eastern Europe and some other states. So, we are planning to modernize communications facilities by purchasing them in the US, he said. At the same time the minister noted that this position is comprehended by the Russian party. "We are closest allies and this means that the strengthening of one partner is profitable for both. The process began a year ago and I met absolute understanding of the Russian colleagues on this issue", - Serge Sargsian noted.
