Eight PKK militants killed in Turkey

PanARMENIAN.Net - Kurdish militants, including 5 women killed in crossfire in Turkish Bingol region.

Eight militants of Kurdish Worker’s Party (PKK) were killed during special operation of Turkish security forces in Bingol, reports CNN Turk.

The militants, including 5 women and the leader of local PKK group refused to give themselves up, opened fire at Turkish military units and were neutralized in retaliatory fire.

The UN and EU have recognized PKK as a terrorist organization.

Kurdish militants earlier threatened Turkish authorities with intensification of the armed conflict, but for concrete steps to address the long term Kurdish question.
