Brazilian Campinas city officially confirms Armenian Genocide recognition

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Mayor of Brazilian Campinas Demetrio Vilagra signed the resolution on recognition of the Armenian Genocide adopted by the City Council on November 20, with official notification sent to Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The resolution stipulates for inclusion of April 24 into city’s calendar of memorable events as the day of commemoration of Armenian Genocide victims.

Campinas, an important agricultural and industrial center, is a part of Soa Paolo administrative district with population of about 1.2 million.
