Daily export of fruit, vegetables from Armenia reaches 5000 tonsDecember 23, 2011 - 14:48 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Agriculture Minister summarized the exports of fruit and vegetables from the country at Dec 23 news conference in Yerevan. According to Sergo Karapetyan, 4-5 tons of fruit and vegetables is being exported daily, with the Russia as the main consumer. “With grape export in full swing, current daily exports reach 120-140 tons; potatoes and cabbages export will launch Jan 2012,” the official noted. The cold storage chamber opened at Zvartnots airport, facilitated export procedures, with the total volume of exports reaching 200 tons from May –Dec 2011.
