Ahmadinejad: no force can alter the map between Armenia and Iran

PanARMENIAN.Net - Iranian President expressed hope for further development of friendly ties with Armenia.

As Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stated in Yerevan, “the ties between our countries have been expanding since the day Armenia gained independence. We share a common culture and I see no impediments to intensification of partnership.”

Expressing concern over foreign interference, Mr. Ahmadinejad noted, “during a meeting with President Sargsyan, I assured the Armenian leader that no force can alter the map between Armenia and Iran.”

As the Iranian President noted, the meeting with the Armenian leader focused on Araks hydro power plant and intensification of bilateral trade ties. In this context, the parties agreed to introduce necessary customs reforms to boost Armenia-Iran trade turnover.

On December 23, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived in Armenia for an official visit.
