Iran, Armenia to boost trade turnover

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today, December 23, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan welcomed his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, noting that his visit furthers cooperation between the two states.

“Armenia-Iran cooperation has always yielded good results in the light of numerous programs implemented over years,” President Sargsyan said.

Dwelling on trade relations, RA President assessed annual USD 300 mln. turnover as very small considering friendly ties between the two countries.

“Due to the agreements reached, we can double or even three times increase trade turnover in short term,” President Sargsyan said, stressing the importance of constructive environment in bilateral ties.
