ARMENIA TO RECEIVE INVITATION FOR COMING NATO EXERCISE IN AZERBAIJAN

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia will receive the NATO invitation for the participation in the "Cooperative Best Effort-2004" to be held next September in Azerbaijan within the framework of "Partnership for Peace" project, director of the Center for Partnership Coordination within the present program, Turkish major general Rivki Dyurusoi told Mediamax agency in Brussels. In his words, neither of the NATO member-countries has right to impede the participation of another partner in the "Cooperative Best Effort" maneuvers. "I do not think, Azerbaijan will try to pose problems for the Armenian soldiers", - the Turkish general said. To remind, Armenian defense minister Serge Sargsian stated earlier about readiness of the Armenian armed forces to take part in the NATO coming exercise to be held in Azerbaijan. It should also be noted that Azerbaijan refrained from the participation in the "Cooperative Best Effort-2003", conducted in Armenia in June, current year.
