  Armenian President extends condolences to Gevork Vartanian's family January 11, 2012 - 20:55 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan addressed a letter of condolences to the family and friends of legendary Soviet intelligence agent Gevork Vartanian, who died at 87 in a Moscow hospital. In his letter, President Sargsyan noted Gevork Vartanian's selfless service to his native land, confessing to have retained the warmest memories of the great patriot. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
